About Foster City, CA
California’s San Mateo County is home to the community of Foster community. The city is included in the San Francisco metropolitan area. The area that is currently known as Foster City was originally marshland. It was founded in the 1960s and built on an engineered landfill. A major part of the area was owned by T. Jack Foster, who contributed significantly to the initial design of the city. The nearest airport is the San Francisco International Airport.
